Which sign is it?
Here's something most people don't know. The experts don't ALWAYS agree on which sign is which.
Open two books on the same tablet and you can get two different readings of the same mark. We compared SigLA, lineara.xyz, John Younger's lexicon and the RILA supplement sign by sign, and found 37 spots where they split. 29 of those 37 are below as cards, each with the SigLA tracing of the spot. The rest are on objects SigLA hasn't traced, so they're listed at the bottom.
So have a look. The traced mark is on top and the two readings are underneath. Which one does it look like? Swipe left or right, or use the buttons or the arrow keys. Can't tell? Hit the middle button (or the up arrow). That counts, and a lot of the time it's the honest answer.
You don't need to read Linear A for this. It's just matching shapes. Really. (The experts are matching shapes too, with more coffee.)
A few things to know:
- Your vote shows what visitors see, and that's all it does, so it won't change a single reading on this site and it won't settle anything.
- lineara.xyz saved Younger's pages and often follows his readings. When those two agree, it's closer to one opinion than two.
- Everyone gets the cards in the same order, but the two sides are shuffled for each visitor, so no reading always sits on the left.
