Most of it comes from one place. 1,167 of 1,880 documents come from Haghia Triada, a villa near Phaistos. No other site comes close. The name means Holy Trinity, after a chapel nearby, not after anything Minoan.
Not every dot is a palace. Some are peak sanctuaries with one carved stone cup. Some are single sherds. The count next to each name is the number of records, and a record is one face of one object (so a tablet with writing on both sides is two).
The corpus also holds documents from outside Crete, on Thera, Kea, Kythera, Melos, at Miletos and Troy, and one findspot nobody wrote down. Those are listed below the map, and the map does not show them.
